Terms and conditions

The terms for using Kokïn and taking out its plans. You accept them when you create your account, so we have written them to be read.

1. What Kokïn is

Kokïn is a web app that drafts sewing patterns from your measurements and from how your fabric stretches. You choose the garment and the design, enter your measurements and download the pattern to print at home. It is provided by [PENDING: full name] (see the legal notice).

2. Your account

You need an account to use the app. The information you give must be true, the account is personal and you are responsible for keeping your password safe. If you notice any use that is not yours, let us know.

3. Plans and prices

• Explorer — €0, forever. Three patterns, one measurement profile, patterns downloadable as A4 PDF and personalised sewing instructions.
• Creator — €9.90 a month or €99 a year. Unlimited patterns for every garment, including those added later; unlimited measurement profiles, the DXF file and the history of your patterns, to download or adjust them again.
• Studio — €19.90 a month or €199 a year. Everything in Creator, history by client (her measurements and all her orders), the commercial licence (see point 6), new patterns before anyone else and priority email support.

Prices include applicable taxes [PENDING: confirm according to VAT status]. What each plan includes at any time is what the pricing page says. If we raise a price, we will notify you by email at least 30 days in advance and you can cancel before it applies.

4. Payment, renewal and cancellation

Paid plans are charged in advance every month or every year, depending on the period you choose, by card, through Stripe, and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel whenever you like from your account, in one click and with no commitment: your plan stays active until the end of the period already paid, after which you move to the Explorer plan. The current period is not refunded, except as set out in point 5. Patterns you have already downloaded are yours and you can keep using them, whether you cancel or not.

5. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer, you have 14 days from taking out a paid plan to withdraw without giving any reason, by writing to [PENDING: contact email, e.g. hola@kokinstudio.com]. Since the service starts as soon as you take it out, by paying you expressly ask us to start right away. Therefore:

• if you withdraw, we refund what you paid minus the part proportional to the days you have used the plan;
• patterns you have already downloaded are digital content delivered at your request: by downloading them you accept that you lose the right of withdrawal for them.

We refund the money using the same payment method within 14 days at most.

6. What you can do with the patterns

• Explorer and Creator (personal use): you can sew the garments for yourself and for anyone you like, as long as you do not sell them.
• Studio (commercial use): in addition, you can sell the garments you sew with the patterns, made to order or in small batches.
• On no plan may you sell, share, publish or redistribute the patterns or their files (PDF, DXF), or use them to create another pattern service.

7. What to expect from the pattern

The pattern is drafted with the measurements and fabric data you enter: if a measurement is taken wrongly, the pattern will reflect it. That is why the app explains how to measure yourself and how to measure your fabric. Each pattern includes a test square so you can check you are printing to scale before cutting. The final result also depends on the fabric and the sewing, which are beyond our control. If something in the pattern does not come out as it should, write to us: we want to know and fix it.

8. Proper use

Do not use Kokïn for anything illegal, do not try to access what is not yours or overload the service, and do not automate downloads to get around your plan’s limits. If someone does, we may suspend their account, warning them first unless the case is serious.

9. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep Kokïn running at all times, but there may be downtime for maintenance or failures. We may improve and change the app; if a change removes something important from your paid plan, we will let you know and you will be able to cancel.

10. Liability

We are responsible for providing the service as described here. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants you as a consumer.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change them, we will notify you by email at least 30 days in advance. If you do not agree, you can cancel before they apply.

12. Governing law and complaints

If you have any problem, write to us first at [PENDING: contact email, e.g. hola@kokinstudio.com]: almost everything gets solved that way. If you are not satisfied, you can turn to a consumer mediator free of charge: [PENDING: name and website of the consumer mediator the owner has joined]. These terms are governed by French law, without depriving you of the protection of the law of your country of residence, and you can bring a claim before the courts of your place of residence.
